Yasmin Khalifian is an associate specializing in labor and employment matters, representing clients in a wide range of workplace disputes and compliance matters. Her expertise focuses on wage and hour, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims. In addition, Yasmin has counseled companies on employment related matters including conducting mandatory trainings, handbook compliance, and drafting effective employment agreements.  In addition to her employment practice, Yasmin also handles breach of contract and business litigation cases, among other things, providing strategic and results-driven advocacy for individuals and companies alike.  Over the course of her practice, Yasmin has handled matters from pre-litigation through trial, giving her a comprehensive understanding of each phase of the dispute resolution process. Yasmin’s practice balances assertive representation with thoughtful problem-solving, always guided by her clients’ goals and best interests.

Prior to joining Novian & Novian, Yasmin began her career at a small law firm, where she developed a hands-on, client-focused approach and built strong personal connections with those she represents. She later transitioned to a national law firm, where she gained experience managing complex, high-stakes matters and honed her skills at a sophisticated level. This combination of experience allows Yasmin to deliver both the personal attention of a boutique practice with the expertise and precision of a large-firm advocate. Yasmin received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of California, San Diego in 2017, and her law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2021. Prior to law school, Yasmin clerked at a general liability civil litigation firm, where she gained additional experience in law and motion.
