Joseph A. Lopez graduated with a B.A. in English, with Honors, from Binghamton University in 2003, and received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2009, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs and participated in the Entertainment Law Program. He was admitted to the California State Bar in December 2009. Mr. Lopez primarily handles entertainment and intellectual property matters. He is Co-chair of the Trademark Department at Novian & Novian, handling all aspects of the trademark application process, policing registered marks, and prosecuting and defending infringement actions. Mr. Lopez is also actively involved in the firm's Copyright Department, He also advises clients on the formation and structuring of corporate entities, and litigates corporate and partnership disputes. In addition, Mr. Lopez is actively involved in employment matters, where he has both fought for employees and defended employers, including wrongful termination claims and wage & hour disputes. Mr. Lopez is an Irish dancer and aspiring author, which helps him to relate to clients in creative fields. Mr. Lopez is proficient in Spanish. |
